We are in search of a QA Compliance Coordinator to support the Food Safety and Quality Assurance departments. As a QA Compliance Coordinator, you will maintain food safety programs, organize compliance documentation, coordinate employee training, and support audits in a food manufacturing environment.

What will you do:

Do you enjoy keeping systems organized, improving processes, and helping teams meet food safety standards? As a QA Compliance Coordinator, you’ll help turn food safety requirements into practical procedures employees follow every day. You’ll work closely with Quality, Production, and R&D teams to keep programs current, prepare for audits, and support new product compliance.

This position combines office-based documentation work with time on the production floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain food safety and quality systems, ensuring programs remain organized, current, and aligned with daily operations.
  • Coordinate audit preparation, internal audits, mock traceability exercises, and corrective action tracking.
  • Support employee training by updating materials, maintaining training records, and helping identify training gaps.
  • Draft, review, and update SOPs, sanitation procedures, and work instructions with department teams.
  • Maintain supplier approval records, product specifications, and permit and license renewal tracking.
  • Partner with R&D to identify food safety, labeling, and regulatory requirements for new products.
  • Organize complaint records, track trends, and support quality and process improvement projects.

Skills and requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field, plus 1–2 years of food manufacturing QA experience. Internship experience may be considered for strong candidates.
  • HACCP or PCQI certification and basic knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and document control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Quality, Production, and R&D teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Experience with SQF or other GFSI-benchmarked systems, dairy, or high-risk food processing is preferred.
