Fuller Technologies is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to serve as a senior technical specialist for rotary kilns and other Pyro equipment used in the cement and heavy industrial industries.

This role is part of our Global Service Engineering team and combines mechanical design, field troubleshooting, aftermarket/retrofit engineering, and technical customer support. The Product Specialist will provide technical ownership of mechanical solutions for existing equipment, including upgrades, rebuilds, modernization projects, and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level mechanical engineering support for rotary kilns and other Pyro/heavy process equipment
  • Develop engineered solutions for aftermarket upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, and equipment modifications
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and recommend corrective solutions
  • Create, review, and approve 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Perform and review mechanical calculations and equipment design documentation
  • Support technical proposals and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, and customers
  • Review customer specifications and existing equipment conditions to determine appropriate technical solutions
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, inspections, and troubleshooting at customer sites
  • Drive product improvements, standardization, value engineering, and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Travel to customer sites as needed, approximately 30 days per year

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong experience with mechanical design of heavy industrial equipment
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience creating/reviewing mechanical drawings, equipment designs, and engineering calculations
  • Experience with aftermarket equipment, retrofits, rebuilds, upgrades, or modernization projects
  • Practical field/site experience troubleshooting, inspecting, installing, or commissioning industrial equipment
  • Strong technical problem-solving and customer communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as a senior technical resource

Highly Preferred

  • Cement industry experience
  • Experience with rotary kilns, industrial furnaces, rotary dryers, coolers, preheaters, combustion systems, or similar large rotating/process equipment
  • Experience supporting mining, minerals processing, bulk material handling, or other heavy industrial equipment
  • OEM or engineered-to-order equipment experience
