Job Overview:

Davis Tool has an immediate opening for a manager of the purchasing supply chain organization.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of purchasing employees

  • Meet regularly with employees to communicate company priorities and address concerns

  • Set goals and expectations, assign work, develop employees, and enable the work to be performed as needed

  • Formally evaluate employee performance

  • Communicate department status to other shifts and other departments


Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of direct people management experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or equivalent education and 5 years of manufacturing experience

  • Experienced with direct purchasing, MRP systems, spread sheets and office software

  • High attention to detail and problem solving; well organized with leadership skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


This is an exempt eligible position.
