Interstate Group is one of the nation's leading trailer manufacturers, with operations across 35 states. We're looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team at our corporate office in Nampa, Idaho.
About the Role
Are you a NetSuite power user with a passion for streamlining supply chain operations? We are seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead procurement activities for our multi-site manufacturing operation. Based at our corporate office in Nampa, Idaho, you will be the "go-to" expert for purchasing techniques, vendor relationships, and ERP optimization.

What You’ll Do
- NetSuite Mastery: Serve as the internal expert on NetSuite ERP, leveraging procurement and inventory modules to optimize workflows and reporting.
- Strategic Procurement: Manage the full purchasing lifecycle for multiple manufacturing sites, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and price stabilization.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide a dedicated team of buyers and administrative staff.
- SOP Ownership: Own the development and implementation of detailed SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
- Inventory Optimization: Maintain lean but effective inventory levels, managing safety stocks and reorder points to prevent production shortages.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing, finance, and planning departments.
What You’ll Need
- Experience: At least 7 years of purchasing supervision experience within a complex, multi-location manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ERP Expertise: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in NetSuite is required.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel (formulas, functions, data analysis) and Google Workspace.
- Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of freight, Incoterms, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and contracts.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
