Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Purchasing Production Scheduling Clerk to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin! The Purchasing Production Scheduling Clerk will perform a diversified set of administrative and office clerical duties primarily revolved around the status of materials, purchasing orders, and auditing vendor invoices. Responsibilities:
- Review and confirm internal sales orders (ISO's). Enter, schedule, and expedite shop orders.
- Compare production order inquiry negative material report to the MRP system. Advise appropriate Buyer if buy-item requirements fall within established lead times.
- Issue make order requests if make-item requirements fall within established lead times.
- Work from exception report, minimum quantities, and reorder points to issue make order requests and generate insulation purchase orders, referring questionable situations to appropriate Buyer.
- Investigate non-stock reports and expedite with vendors as required.
- Review late deliveries.
- Prepare interplant packing lists and upon delivery, review and attach appropriate paperwork and input price information into MRP system.
- Input completed purchase order and make order and request for quotation pricing and cost information.
- Schedule to identify delays, and/or expected delays in customer deliveries and advise Sales and Manufacturing management as appropriate.
- Work from approved requisitions for non-stocked items to contact MRO suppliers to confirm price, establish optimal delivery and generate purchase orders. Determine best source and issue purchase orders for a variety of office supplies, including copier paper, desk supplies, and related items. Issue purchase orders for outside processing work. Determine unit cost and enter into inventory cost file of the database.
- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of purchasing, production scheduling, or clerical/administrative experience.
- Strong knowledge of arithmetic, English, and grammar.
- Proficiency with office equipment and computer systems; experience with MRP systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze exceptions, resolve problems, and make sound decisions within standard practices.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, buyers, and internal teams.
- Comfortable maintaining focus and accuracy on detailed tasks for extended periods.
