**Responsibilities:
**
Develop and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies to support manufacturing operations.
Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers in collaboration with Manufacturing, Laboratory, and Product Development teams for films, adhesives, release liners, coatings, and related materials.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supplier agreements to achieve cost savings and ensure supply continuity.
Identify and drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and supplier performance.
Monitor commodity markets and raw material trends to proactively manage pricing and supply risks.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Conduct supplier audits and resolve supplier-related issues, including material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
Partner with Production Planning to ensure timely procurement of materials and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing production requirements, inventory carrying costs, and service levels.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and availability of incoming materials.
Ensure purchased materials comply with product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain procurement documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), compliance certifications, and quality records.
Support quality investigations involving raw material non-conformances and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
Apply and maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
**Qualifications:
**
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the tape, adhesive, coatings, chemical, converting, or related manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract administration skills.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing software.
Working knowledge of raw material markets, including films, resins, rubber, acrylics, solvents, chemicals, and packaging materials.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
**Preferred Qualifications:
**
Previous experience leading or managing a procurement or purchasing team.
Knowledge of global sourcing practices, international suppliers, and import/export regulations.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP are a plus
