Since 1971, A&H Metals has been a trusted, family-owned custom metal fabrication shop serving the Delaware and Mid-Atlantic region. We design, fabricate, and install architectural railings, ornamental and miscellaneous metals, sheet metal, light structural, and custom fabrications for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Our 25,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with modern laser cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment, and we’re proud of the quality and craftsmanship our team delivers every day.

We’re looking for a hands-on Purchasing Manager who understands metals and hardware, enjoys building supplier relationships, and wants to make a real impact on project success and company profitability. What You’ll Do

• Plan, schedule, and manage all purchasing activities for materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to support production and installation schedules
• Source and negotiate with vendors to maximize value, control costs, and protect project margins
• Monitor market conditions, lead times, and material availability to keep projects on track
• Ensure received materials meet specifications and are properly inspected and documented
• Manage open purchase orders, resolve vendor issues, and support accurate job costing
• Partner with shop, project management, and estimating teams to anticipate needs and avoid delays
• Help improve purchasing processes and supplier performance over time

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with metal fabrication, metal materials, or manufacturing purchasing strongly preferred
• Previous purchasing, supply chain, or buyer experience a plus
• Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions, stay organized under pressure, and work collaboratively
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
