Position Overview
We are seeking dependable
Punch Press Blanking Operators
to join our pressroom team. In this role, you'll operate punch press equipment to produce high-quality metal parts while supporting blanking operations, material handling, and production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
We're looking for candidates with punch press, blanking, progressive die, or large press experience who take pride in producing quality work and working safely as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate punch press equipment to produce metal parts according to specifications
- Feed and handle raw materials safely and efficiently during production
- Support blanking operations and progressive die processes
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Assist with material staging, press setup support, and changeovers as directed
- Wash, oil, package, or prepare finished parts for the next stage of production
- Identify and report tooling, material, quality, or equipment concerns
- Follow all production procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with other pressroom duties as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs
Preferred
- Previous experience operating punch presses, larger presses, or other manufacturing equipment
- Experience with blanking operations, material feeding, or progressive dies
- Metal stamping or pressroom experience
- Setup or setup support experience
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of quality inspections and production documentation
