Express Employment Madison West (Fitchburg) partnered with a local industrial pump company in search of a 1st shift Shop Technician!

Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of industrial pump repair experience

Our Client is a small, busy, and well-respected industrial pump company. They sell, install, service, and repair a wide variety of industrial pumps.

General Job Description and Duties:

• Perform a variety of shop duties.
• Team player who can function independently at a high level.
• Repairs in shop and service calls, document repairs, loading and unloading trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace parts; test pumps.
• Complete paperwork documenting each teardown and repair.
• Build, prepare for shipping, and install a variety of pumps.
• Welding and Fabrication
• Machine Operating
• Keep workspace clean and organized.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow standard workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely and safe manner
• Minor Duties and Responsibilities- Building maintenance.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical knowledge required
• Machine Operating experience is required
• Welding- MIG/TIG/Stick referred.
• Able to operate a forklift preferred
• Quality experience preferred
• Light computer knowledge required
• Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of industrial pump repair experience.

Key Competencies:

• Broad knowledge of mechanical experience working with industrial pumps.
• Willing to learn about a variety of pumps.
• To test and document completed repairs.
• Organize, clean, and keep a safe workspace.
• Complete all paperwork immediately upon completion of tasks.
• Stay focused on current tasks and efficient use of work hours.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to spend working hours on your feet, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform repairs in tight spaces.

Hours:

• 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday (Hours could be somewhat flexible)

Pay:

• Starting at $55k/yr, based on Experience.
