Pump Operations Assistant

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Pump Operations Assistant to join a growing drilling team based in Tallahassee. In this role, you will work alongside an experienced Pump Operator, assisting with drilling operations, equipment setup, maintenance, and jobsite activities.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, traveling, operating heavy equipment, and learning specialized skills in the drilling industry.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Pump Operator with mud rotary, reverse mud rotary, and reverse air rotary drilling operations.
• Learn to operate and maintain drilling equipment and drill rig components.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down drilling sites.
• Operate or learn to operate equipment such as hydraulic winches, top drives, forklifts, and combination backhoes.
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving equipment as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients and consultants on job sites.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and help keep equipment organized.
• Assist with painting, scraping, grinding, welding, and other equipment repairs.
• Organize and maintain equipment at the shop.
• Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Travel to job sites throughout Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in construction, drilling, heavy equipment, welding, mechanics, or industrial work is preferred but not required.
• Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments.
• Willing and able to travel during the week.
• Comfortable being away from home Monday through Friday.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift, move, and work with equipment and tools.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow direction.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn specialized drilling and equipment operation skills.

What We Offer

• $40 per diem while traveling
• Paid drive time
• Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule

Additional Requirements
