Job Overview:

CNC Machinist – Prototype / Job Shop (2nd Shift)

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Pay: $28.00 – $34.00/hr + Overtime (45–50 hrs/week typical)

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Job Duties

  • Perform full setups and operation on CNC vertical mills
  • Machine complex, one-off and short-run parts in a job shop environment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T to produce high-quality parts
  • Work across a range of machines including Haas, Hurco, Mitsubishi, Samsung, and Tarus
  • Make adjustments and troubleshoot to ensure parts meet spec
  • Manage multiple jobs and setups in a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC setup experience (required)
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Experience working in a job shop or prototype environment
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Fanuc controls
  • Background running Haas, Hurco, Mitsubishi, or similar machines

Work Environment

  • True job shop setting – high mix, low volume
