You will be the Proposal Quality Engineer Staff for Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX, managing the implementation and execution of program quality requirements for proposals and development programs. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and you will play a key role in achieving this goal.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Proposal Quality Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting program proposals, and assisting in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments. You will also participate in independent reviews, including customer proposal reviews, audits, and executive leadership reviews.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including program management, contracts, engineering, and manufacturing
-Supporting program proposals for the Precision Fires LOB, including Guided, Missile, Launcher, and Advanced Programs
-Assisting in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments
-Participating in independent reviews, including Readiness Acceptance Check (RAC), customer proposal reviews, and audits
-Partnering with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure quality requirements are met
-Supporting all aspects of quality development programs, including production and support

Basic Qualifications
STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret
Understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Proposals and Quality Engineering
Proficient in writing Proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE)
Strong knowledge of creating accurate, complete, correct, current, and competitive Proposals / Basis of Estimate (BOE) and meeting proposal deadlines
Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with other functions such as PM, Engineering, GSC, Prod Ops, Manufacturing, and customers
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a dynamic environment, ability to train employees, and the ability to multi-task
Practical communication skills, including written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing, and collaboration
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts, and other engineering requirements
Demonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience in the disposition of non-conforming products
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
Ability to travel ~ (25%)
Desired skills
STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above preferred
Experience with customer audits and negotiations
Experience in writing technical and cost volumes
Understanding of TINA Compliance and TINA SWEEP
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001), AS9145
Desire and ability to implement creative problem-solving techniques
Demonstrate understanding of audit techniques and systems for their efficiencies
Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements
Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience, as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional, and procedures for inspection
An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and Procure-to-pay (P2P) business systems
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
