Project Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Join an established commercial general contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality construction projects throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding region. We're seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects from start to completion.

• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials, equipment, and deliveries.

• Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established timelines.

• Enforce OSHA regulations, jobsite safety standards, and company safety procedures.

• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Communicate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Assist with RFIs, change orders, inspections, and project documentation.

• Identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays and maintain productivity.

• Conduct site inspections, manage punch lists, and oversee final project completion and turnover.

• Represent the company professionally in all onsite interactions.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably in a Superintendent or similar field leadership role.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.

• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety procedures.

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with project management teams.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Philadelphia region.

Work Schedule & Location

• Full-time, primarily Monday–Friday

• Onsite, field-based position

• Projects primarily located in Center City Philadelphia and surrounding suburban markets

• Parking and gas expenses covered by the company
