An established, reputable commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Project Superintendent, you will lead daily field operations and serve as a key representative of the company on the jobsite. Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers, you will oversee construction activities from project startup through final closeout.

You will play a critical role in project quality, safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead field operations: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades to keep projects organized, productive, and on schedule.
• Manage schedules: Coordinate work sequencing, material deliveries, inspections, and critical project milestones.
• Champion safety: Enforce jobsite safety standards, conduct regular inspections, maintain a clean work environment, and address hazards promptly.
• Ensure quality: Monitor construction activities, review installations, verify compliance with plans and specifications, and resolve deficiencies throughout the project.
• Build client relationships: Maintain effective communication with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project management: Communicate field progress, resolve construction issues, document changes, and keep projects aligned with established goals.
• Maintain project documentation: Keep accurate jobsite reports, photographs, RFIs, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Drive project closeout: Coordinate punch-list completion and ensure professional project turnover to the owner.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5–10 years of commercial construction experience, preferably in a superintendent or field leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and subcontractor coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and keep projects moving forward.
• Solid understanding of construction scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, accountable approach to leadership and project execution.
• OSHA 30-hour certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain it as required.
• Experience with RFIs, change orders, SharePoint, and BIM coordination is a plus.

PROJECT LOCATIONS

Projects are primarily located in Center City Philadelphia, with additional work throughout the surrounding suburbs and within approximately one hour of the city.

Candidates should be comfortable traveling to active construction sites throughout the region.
