PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provides management and planning of all construction activities for Air Force Facilities in Maui Hawaii. and assigns craftsmen to work orders. Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors throughout projects. Inspects work areas for safety and compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide a high level of facility maintenance and construction knowledge and experience. Position is responsible for managing minor construction activities. Maintain safe working environment with attention towards site and personnel security. Develops and implements construction management strategies to ensure projects are completed timely, withing cost schedules, and that all quality processes are complied with.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct reports. Responsible for Managing work site and sub contract management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Position requires interaction within the department on routine matters and externally through purchasing and property personnel.
• Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform; general decisions are made to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.
• Must be able to plan and estimate and manage minor construction requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board (Project Management certification preferred).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with sustainment, renovation, and minor construction Familiarity with USAF facility maintenance procedures project scoping, estimating, and scheduling related to the following concentrations: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, fire alarm and suppression, and interior and exterior architecture-related systems.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• This position requires a strong attention to detail and follow through, use of independent judgment, and excellent communication skills.
