Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee yacht service, repair, maintenance, and refit projects. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong marine background who understands how to take a project from initial scope through completion while coordinating customers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and budgets.

Candidates may come from a yacht yard, boatyard, shipyard, marina service operation, yacht management company, or marine service organization. We are open to experienced Project Managers as well as strong Service or Refit Managers who have directly managed complex vessel projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage yacht repair, maintenance, and refit projects from planning through delivery
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for yacht owners, captains, management companies, and other customers
  • Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules, and work plans
  • Coordinate skilled trades including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, paint, fiberglass, and other marine disciplines
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, parts, materials, and outside services
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, change orders, and overall profitability
  • Conduct regular vessel inspections and track project progress
  • Communicate project updates and resolve issues quickly
  • Coordinate closely with yard operations, service teams, and technicians
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and customer-service expectations

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing projects within the yacht, marine, shipyard, or boatyard industry
  • Strong knowledge of yacht repair, maintenance, refit, and vessel systems
  • Experience coordinating multiple skilled trades and subcontractors
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of project costing, estimating, scheduling, and change orders
  • Experience working directly with captains, owners, or yacht management companies is highly desirable
