Job Description

As Project Manager (NPDI and Digital) - Global Services PMO, you will play a critical role in driving successful execution of New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) projects, as well as select digital and legacy initiatives within the Global Services organization.

This role requires a strategic, process-minded leader who can work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Regional Service teams to ensure service readiness, cost alignment, and scalable enablement for new and existing solutions. You will act as a central point of coordination for service-related deliverables throughout the NPDI lifecycle—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable business impact.

In this position, you will need strong project management discipline, the ability to navigate complexity, and a continuous improvement mindset. The role demands influencing across functional boundaries, aligning stakeholders globally, and ensuring Global Services objectives are integrated into the broader Vertiv NPDI process.

Responsibilities:

Project & Program Leadership (40%)

  • Utilize Vertiv Operating System (VOS) and PMO governance frameworks to plan, facilitate, and manage assigned NPDI and digital services projects.
  • Own and drive effective delivery through a defined stage-gate process, from concept and feasibility to execution, readiness, and launch.
  • Manage global project schedules, deliverables, and dependencies across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure service requirements (e.g., readiness, cost modeling, training, enablement) are integrated into NPDI projects and validated before launch.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication (25%)

  • Act as the Global Services representative in NPDI core teams, ensuring alignment between Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Services.
  • Partner closely with regional Services teams to capture feedback, identify risks, and ensure readiness plans reflect real-world deployment needs.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates, dashboards, and status reports to senior management.

Business Process & Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes and tools within the Services PMO, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Support integration of digital tools and platforms for project tracking, readiness, and enablement.
  • Drive improvement initiatives that enhance global alignment and accelerate NPDI service deliverables.

Data & Governance (15%)

  • Use Power BI and PMO tracking tools to prioritize, monitor, and report on the portfolio of NPDI and digital projects.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for project health, cost tracking, and readiness milestones.
  • Contribute to lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement of PMO governance and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Project Management or PMO roles, ideally within a global matrix organization.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects in product or service development environments (NPDI experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Power BI and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance execution discipline with strategic thinking and process improvement.
  • Additional / Preferred Qualifications
    • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or hybrid project management approaches.
    • Experience in digital transformation or service enablement programs a strong plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.

Travel Requirements:  Up to 10–15% international travel may be required, based on project location and global coordination needs.
