Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

Carbondale, IL

$60,000–$70,000 + Performance Bonus

We are hiring a Project Manager to lead commercial, industrial, and healthcare mechanical construction projects throughout Southern Illinois and the surrounding region.

What You'll Do

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and job costs
  • Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Review RFIs, submittals, contracts, and change orders
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
  • Conduct jobsite visits to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met
  • Track project progress and profitability
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or commercial construction
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or healthcare construction projects
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and process piping
