The Global Real Estate & Facilities team manages the corporate office portfolio and aims to provide a safe, sustainable, and efficient work environment to accommodate growth and enable our client’s employees to innovate and delight customers. The Commute Transportation team manages transportation planning and transportation demand management (TDM) programs for large scale corporate office facilities across North America. The team is dedicated to providing employees with a variety of innovative transportation options that reduce their reliance on driving alone.

The Project Manager; will be part of the Transportation team, collaborating closely with the Sr Program Manager and other stakeholders across North America managing and delivering projects of all sizes, supporting the client in constantly raising the bar for customers. The Project Manager will focus on executing projects against the agreed scope and timeline but will also act as an advisor to the project sponsor and stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities associated with their projects. Project Managers are more than timekeepers – they gain a deep understanding of evolving customer needs and are instrumental in transforming projects to deliver against those. You’ll be working frequently with clients, so you’ll need to build strong relationships with them. Likewise, you’ll need to be proactive and engaging; and make sure that the clients’ expectations are met each time.

Scope of role and responsibilities

  • Lead and manage transportation specific projects of all sizes, including complex cross-functional projects requiring alignment from all internal stakeholders and vendors. These projects are real estate strategic driven within the business, non-construction related i.e. Non CapEx initiatives.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle and take ownership of delivering across all project stages.
  • Build and apply change management plans, map flowcharts, RACIs and help define operational teams, roadmaps, communication plans and templates for the managed projects are high regarded tasks for this role.
  • Support project sponsors & other stakeholders in defining & writing business requirements, which may include collaborating with Technology teams to determine the technology aspects of projects.
  • Make the right tradeoff between schedule, resources and scope to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
  • Assemble project teams with support of project sponsor, define mechanisms of team collaboration and schedule appropriate interaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, being project sponsors and other stakeholders when leading projects.
  • Dive deep into data and documentation to support the analysis needed for project delivery.
  • Be able to strategize with project sponsors, challenge outcomes and propose deliverables to ensure fit for purpose and scalable solutions.
  • Facilitates a project kick-off meeting, and project status meetings, with internal staff and key stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are communicated and understood
  • Identifies and addresses areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information provided and translate into appropriate project actions.
  • Flexibility to pivot the project when external or internal factors impact scope or timeline.
  • Record and manage all project tasks, sharing with the project team and following up for completion by due dates.
  • Provide regular detailed reporting on project status, calling out critical milestones, risks with impact and mitigations, bottlenecks and blockers with path to green.
  • Identify lessons learned from projects and contribute to ongoing improvement of supported projects.
  • Contribute to the development of project/project management methodology.
  • Upon project completion, manage successful handoff to Business-As-Usual (BAU) teams, internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Produce required project close out documentation.

Candidate profile

  • Experience in managing small to large scale projects, particularly in real estate but also facilities projects and operations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Relentless and tenacious drive to deliver results and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Comfortable working across multiple geographies, cultures, virtually, across time zones, in a highly dynamic organization.
  • The candidate must be at ease with launching projects without much data, starting from a blank sheet of paper.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, combining ability to dive deep into data and anecdotal feedback, analyze status quo and synthesize findings.
  • Experience in driving change management plans aimed at setting up new services or profoundly transforming existing ones.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize and escalate in a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Hands on approach, show attention to detail and ownership.
  • Proven track record interacting with multiple stakeholders at all levels of an organization, establishing effective relationships.
  • Great communication skills are a must, written and verbal. Combined with ability to moderate large forums, facilitate dialog with stakeholders and clearly present outcomes and risks.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business organization.
  • Fluent English written and verbalized, other languages are a plus.
  • Familiar with leading remote clients a plus.

Other Candidate Abilities

Experience in Microsoft Suite, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Quip and Smartsheet preferred

Project management certification and experience in utilizing project management tools are additional benefits.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

124,800.00 – 180,900.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
