We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to join a fabrication and machining company specializing in precision manufacturing and job shop production. This role supports high-demand aerospace and industrial work, where accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery are critical. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing machined or fabricated parts from print to final shipment.
The Project Manager receives engineering drawings and models for machined or fabricated components, develops production routings through the machine or fabrication shop, and coordinates closely with machinists, fabricators, quality control inspectors, engineering, supply chain, and customers to ensure parts are built to specification and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full value stream from order receipt through shipping to ensure on-time delivery
Create and modify production routings for machining and fabrication processes
Develop and update manufacturing work instructions and procedures
Communicate project status with customers and internal teams, including Engineering and Quality
Prevent recurrence of discrepancies and support continuous improvement efforts
Identify bottlenecks and shop constraints to avoid delays in production
Support Lean manufacturing principles and ideal product flow across operations
Serve as part of the Floor Leadership Team and support shop floor execution
Provide process ownership for assigned areas and assist in resolving production issues
Design, specify, or research tooling and fixtures to improve manufacturing and inspection
Support supply chain activities including supplier inspection, selection, and accreditation
Conduct industrial engineering tasks such as time studies and work cell layout improvements
Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in project management within machining or fabrication environments preferred
Experience supporting aerospace or precision manufacturing customers strongly preferred
Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and production flow
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and quality control processes
Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple departments
Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
