Job Overview:

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

The Project Manager is accountable for directing a cross-functional team of engineers, department leaders, and other internal & external stakeholders to deliver on a project scope. At Double H Plastics, the project manager will be responsible for a diverse range of project types including: new product development, facility enhancements, equipment / infrastructure installation, and operational continuous improvement.  The Project Manager will play an integral role in the development of a Stage Gate process for New Product Development and be responsible for establishing & standardizing a Project Management Process 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • For all projects, define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines
  • For all projects, develop detailed project plans which account for resource allocation & budget monitoring 
  • Monitor project progress throughout the project via project dashboard, action register, and recurring project meetings.  Report project health based on KPIs.
  • Oversee equipment installation, upgrades, or relocations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that product and equipment qualification conform to standardized processes.  
  • Manage production ramp-up activities with operational peers.
  • Create a standardized project management process fr all project types.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar technical discipline

 Required knowledge:

  • 5-7 years of direct project management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Project Planning, use of MS Project, and MS Office Suite
  • Passion for project management & organization
  • Project Management Professional certification is a nice to have, but not required
  • Use and knowledge of Power BI and statistical analysis tools are a plus
  • Experience in injection molding is a plus

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and integrous: able to complete tasks with little assistance; determined to succeed; chooses to do things the right way even when it takes longer or there is pressure to take shortcuts
  • Ability to apply influence on stakeholders and partners in the interest of the project and the overall business 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking as needed between office and manufacturing floor or other departments
  • Occasional lifting or carrying items up to 50lbs
  • Occasional reaching, bending, stooping to access machine areas

 Safety: 

  • To maintain proper safety standards according to established Sanitary and Housekeeping Practices (GMP Compliance).  Proper use of all safety equipment i.e.: proper use of personal protective gear including hairnets, gloves and safety glasses.
