We are currently seeking a high-performing Project Manager to join our team. 


The right person for this job is someone who can take responsibility for overseeing and managing custom-engineered projects to help ensure a highly positive customer experience with projects that are shipped on time and within budget. You must be a highly detail-oriented person who doesn’t let things slip through the cracks. The Project Manager coordinates with Customers, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Materials Groups to facilitate successful projects. We need someone who will provide an excellent customer experience and provides a timely, balanced urgency to all projects.

Requirements

Required Education, Experience, and Skills for the Project Manager:


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or similar.
  • 2 years minimum work experience in a manufacturing environment with strong planning, priority setting, interpersonal, and cross-functional management skills.
  • CAPM certificate is a plus but not required. 

Skills:

  • Project Management skills, including effective communication, leadership abilities, schedule and scope management, attention to detail, strong organization, ability to see the big picture, time management, problem solving, and effective prioritization. 
  • Strong software skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project management software. 
  • Able to utilize project management skills to effectively plan, create scheduling charts, and implement and control multiple projects to meet tight schedules that are on a budget.
  • Able to interact well with customers, provide accurate updates, schedule and lead meetings, and facilitate communications with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Specific Job Duties:

  • Take new, custom engineering projects from sales, and initiate projects through kick-off meetings.
  • Manage production project life cycles from kick-off through shipment, while tracking project milestones and task assignments. 
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to effectively communicate with other team members if project timelines are slipping, and work with department managers to identify solutions to get production back on schedule. 
  • Be the primary point of contact for customers, providing order confirmations, scheduling details, regular and consistent project updates, notifications of schedule adjustments, photos, etc.
  • Ensure projects are properly approved and closed out prior to order shipment, including the coordination of customer buy-offs, lessons learned, and details to support efficient shipment. 
  • Maintain 30-40 active projects in company ERP software.
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Materials to help manage priorities, schedules, and budgets
  • Create and execute schedules for many projects at a time, working with the engineering and production teams to meet timelines and budgets
  • Performs post-project evaluations, evaluating schedules, labor hours, and cost performance.

Job Details

  • Pay: $75,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience.
  • Shift: Monday through Friday regular business hours with some flexibility in your start and stop times. Once eligible, there is the option to participate in our 9/80 work schedule which gives you every other Friday off.
