Job Overview:

Job Title: Project Manager

Classification: Exempt Full-Time

Reports to: Sr. VP of Supply Chain & Operations

Backup Position: Sr. VP of Supply Chain & Operations

 

General Scope of the Position: 

The Project Manager will be crucial in driving the successful execution of various projects within our vertically integrated model. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of project management principles within a branded environment. 

 

A.      DUTIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, including production, marketing, sales, and logistics, to plan and execute projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements while ensuring alignment with brand standards and business goals.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project milestones and deliverables delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to key stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges, and recommendations as needed.
  • Oversee budget management and financial forecasting for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and profitability targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, optimize resources, and enhance efficiency.
  • Uphold the brand identity and integrity throughout all project activities, maintaining consistency and quality across all deliverables.

B.       Specific Skills and Abilities Required

 

The required competencies to perform this job at an acceptable or above level of performance are as follows:

  • Planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget 
  • Provide sales support focused on project scope and requirements. 
  • Day-to-day tasks involve planning and designating project resources, coordinating with contractors and inspectors, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed from planning stages through project completion.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
  • Work with a team of professionals from various disciplines.
  • Lead through times of change, disruption, and growth.
  • Must have the ability to be multi-tasked, work well under pressure, meet deadlines.

 

C.        EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a branded or vertically integrated business, with a minimum of 3 years in project management.
  • Strong understanding of branded environments and the nuances of managing projects within a vertically integrated model.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Basecamp, or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to branding and vertical integration.
  • Bilingual Spanish & English preferred

            1.         Physical activities of this position.  

 

              ¨       Climbing:  Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.  Body agility is emphasized.  This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

              ý           Reaching:  Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

 

              ý           Standing:  Particularly for sustained periods of time.

 

              ý           Walking:  Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.

 

              ¨           Pushing:  Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

 

              ¨           Pulling:  Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

 

              ¨           Lifting:  Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.  This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

 

              ý           Finger Dexterity:  Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole arm as in handling.

              ý           Repetitive motions:  Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

              

  1.               Degree of physical exertion required for the position.  

 

              ¨           Sedentary Work:  Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary Work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
