Automatic Handling International, Inc. has been supplying the Global Fortune 500 Consumer Products Manufacturing Industry as a worldwide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of custom and patented handling and packaging systems since 1972.


Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the scope, schedule, costs, and overall success of an assigned project in a manufacturing environment.


Job Functions:

· Define and clarify the scope of the project in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Customer prior to and during kickoff meetings.

· Travel to customer facilities for onsite Kick-off meetings and conflict resolution as required.

· Collaborate with operations to develop and maintain project schedules.

· Lead internal and customer design reviews and ensure notes are recorded in detail.

· Understand and communicate the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion: customer satisfaction, timeliness, strategic goals, and profitability.

· Identify and control critical path items to ensure overall project success.

· Actively monitor work in progress and project milestones against overall objectives and communicate changes to needed parties to maintain flow.

· Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel during the manufacturing process.

· Communicate with customer and AHI Department managers to plan and execute virtual and/or in person Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

· Work with accounting and sales to interpret costs, margins, profit, and revenue.

· Minimize company exposure and risk on projects.

Requirements

· 2 - 3 years planning and/or management experience

· Significant experience in Engineering and/or Project Management in a Manufacturing Environment

· Excellent Communication Skills – Verbal and Written

· Capable of designing and interpreting spreadsheets as it relates to costs, margins, profit, and revenue

· Able to perform at a high level and resolve conflict under pressure

· Willing to travel as required (approximately 10%)
