Job Summary

The Project Manager II is responsible for managing complex customer projects from purchase order acceptance through production, shipment, and closeout. This role serves as the primary coordinator between customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, and other internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with customer requirements, commercial commitments, and quality standards. The Project Manager II manages multiple projects simultaneously, proactively addresses risks, and drives cross-functional accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer projects from order acceptance through final delivery and project closeout.
• Review purchase orders, specifications, schedules, contractual requirements, and project documentation to identify risks and requirements.
• Participate in customer kickoff meetings, project reviews, scheduling discussions, and status meetings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action items, deliverables, and documentation.
• Coordinate project execution across manufacturing locations and internal departments.
• Work closely with Engineering on drawings, technical submissions, approvals, design changes, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Quality to monitor progress and ensure project commitments are achieved.
• Manage supplier and vendor activities to support production schedules and delivery requirements.
• Serve as the primary communication link between customers and internal teams.
• Provide project updates regarding schedules, risks, technical issues, documentation, and changes.
• Track scope changes and coordinate associated commercial, technical, and scheduling impacts.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, technical, manufacturing, commercial, and supply chain risks.
• Maintain accurate project records, approvals, schedules, customer requirements, and action items.
• Manage multiple active projects while maintaining priorities, accountability, and timely follow-up.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of project management, program management, manufacturing, industrial equipment, engineered products, construction, EPC, or related experience.
• Experience managing customer projects involving multiple departments, suppliers, and manufacturing functions.
• Experience coordinating schedules, deliverables, project documentation, and customer requirements.
• Experience working directly with customers, vendors, engineering, sales, and operations teams.
• Manufacturing or engineered-products experience preferred.
• Technical or engineering background preferred but not required.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, scheduling, or project management systems preferred.

• Experience maintaining project documentation and communicating project status, changes, and impacts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Ability to understand technical information and communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support project execution.
