Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Up to $170,000 base

A leading Electrical Contractor delivering mission-critical data center projects across the Chicago metro area and broader Midwest is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.

This role is key to successfully delivering high-performance, technically complex facilities, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and reliability standards.

**Role Overview:

**

• Lead the full lifecycle of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

• Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and risk mitigation strategies

• Coordinate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Oversee mission-critical systems including MEP, power distribution, cooling, and redundancy infrastructure

• Ensure adherence to strict quality, safety, and commissioning standards

• Track project performance and provide regular reporting to stakeholders

**What You Bring:

**

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering data center or mission-critical projects

• Strong understanding of MEP systems, critical power (UPS/generators), and cooling systems

• Experience managing complex, fast-paced builds with high uptime and reliability requirements

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and construction documentation

• Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover of mission-critical facilities
