Job Summary
The Project Execution (PEX) Project Manager will coordinate and manage the Global Integrated Supply Chain (Operations) functions & deliverables of the Club Car Development Process, providing core team representation and collaborating with various Operations personnel to deliver project milestones on time, within budget, and within scope. This role collaborates with all other functions of a project including the program management group, engineering, sales, IT, etc…, and will interact with relevant stakeholders. This role will also provide timely communication of OPERATIONS project status and issues to all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are adequately scoped for Operations functions
- Develop Operations project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements which integrate into the overall project plan
- Manage complex projects or phases of a large project to ensure the completion of milestones meeting quality targets, budget and timeline
- Manage Operations NPD deliverables, risks and timing, to ensure completion within project schedule
- Coordinate Operations resource engagement throughout the project lifecycle
- Timely communication of project status to stakeholders throughout duration of project
- Proactively identify potential issues and create a plan of action for resolution
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Collaborate with external partners including third party suppliers, sub-contractors and customers
- Participate in design and process reviews to promote assembly mistake proofing to reach quality targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field
- Project management experience with at least 5 years in a diversified industrial company
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to senior leaders and influence stakeholders and business partners
- Tenacity in driving and managing program team members to meet or exceed program objectives
- Courage to raise issues to upper management when program is at risk
- Proven ability to integrate business and technical elements of a new product development program, including anticipating issues and driving countermeasures and issues to closure
- Ability to drive performance through others, supporting colleagues in pursuit of the team goal and ensuring focus on deliverable
- Functional expertise in one or more Operations areas: advanced manufacturing engineering, materials, operations, quality
- Works independently under minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of change management and project management principles, processes and tools
- Strong understanding of materials processes and planning preferred
- Ability to understand business financials
- Strong problem solving skills with knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project experience preferred
- PMP certification highly desired
- Experience leading key functions as part of new product development activity preferred
- Experience running large complex cross functional projects is preferred
- Experience with ERP (Mapics/Infor) systems desired.
