Position Overview
The Project Estimator supports the planning and bidding process by developing project timelines, labor requirements, material quantities, and cost projections. This role works closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specifications, project plans, and other technical documents.
- Evaluate project requirements and develop detailed material, labor, and cost estimates.
- Identify factors that may affect project pricing, production, and scheduling.
- Prepare, track, and maintain vendor and subcontractor bids.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and architects.
- Enter and track project information and costs using project management software.
- Present estimates and pricing information to management and project stakeholders.
- Track actual project costs and maintain accurate records.
- Assist Project Managers with estimating, bidding, and schedule development.
- Perform additional job-related duties as needed.

- Ability to understand and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Professional, confident, and courteous approach when working with clients and coworkers.
- Strong time-management and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and tactfully.
- Willingness and ability to become proficient in company project management software.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position involves regular communication and computer/document-based work, with frequent use of hands for handling tools, controls, and materials. Employees may occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. The position requires near and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
