The Opportunity:

 

The Project Account Manager is a dual role, responsible for monitoring, actioning and helping resolve challenges associated with current customer accounts, managing a team of Account Support Managers. In addition, the Project Account Manager is responsible for all new customer introductions and new product introductions. The Project Account Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring new customers are on-boarded within the timeline agreed upon. Enhanced project skills will be utilized to ensure new customers are treated with the utmost professionalism, and enhanced communication. Internally this role will work with all major departments to ensure an effective start-up and launch.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, maintain and present scorecard/metrics/demand forecasts that track progress/challenges/future growth for dedicated accounts.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings related to customer orders, prioritization, resolving customer issues.
  • Manage and control the execution to on-board new customers and/or new products using best-in-class methodology and ensure milestones for projects are met, giving directions on challenges and issues.
  • Act as a key liaison between Sales and Operations to assist in the further growth of MeriCal.
  • Support existing customers in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Ensure the processing of customer Purchase/Sales Orders via EDI or through manual entry in a timely manner, and ensure that all critical date milestones to support on-time deliveries are met.
  • Monitor and action activities associated with orders and inventory for the dedicated customers.
  • Ensure the effective communication of orders, order requirements and order lifecycle to internal and external customers by the team.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain related departments to ensure all customer demands, requirements and inventory needs are met.
  • Ensure the team Account Support Managers address all customer issues in a timely manner, ensure the team are being the customer liaison to manufacturing, quality, shipping and accounts receivable. 
  • Monitor inventory levels, requirements and pending shipments.
  • Ensure the team effectively collaborate with Planning to ensure production work orders are entered timely and correctly and collaborate with procurement for component inventory levels.
  • Participate in daily and weekly operations meetings by being the face of the customer to ensure their order requirements (due dates, quantities, and order priorities are being met). 
  • Supports Sales by assisting in the building and maintaining of business relationships with current and future customers by providing prompt and accurate data.
  • Respond to questions and complaints from customers in an expedited manner.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a customer service/sales role or equivalent.   
  • Strong project driven skills, PMP certification a plus.
  • Previous experience in the vitamin industry and a manufacturing environment an essential.
  • Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Superb problem-solving skills along with the ability to “think outside the box” to streamline tasks and processes necessary to support customer and production needs.
  • Help drive continuous improvement with colleagues and across the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

 A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
