Job Overview:

Rockfon is seeking a Program Manager, based on-site at our Chicago facility, as part of our Rockfon Engineering team. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and has no direct reports.

What You Will Be Doing

The Program Manager will coordinate and implement complex developmental projects within Rockfon and ROCKWOOL and/or it’s third parties. This person will manage all necessary investments, from A-Z.

  • Starting and leading development projects to a successful implementation
  • Assure the relevant approvals and certificates for the projects, and assure the health & safety check for implementation of all new products
  • Coordinate raw material developments in relation to the projects
  • Technical back up in relation to products & systems
  • Set up a solid internal network with Technical Managers, Operations, GSP, and Marketing. Set up solid network with external parties (laboratories, suppliers, third party supplies).
  • Plan, according to Rockfon strategy and RFNA Product Development procedure, and assure an efficient project organization
  • Maintain a good network with factories and relevant departments in order to judge investments and consequences of investments
  • Manage efficient planning of tests and maintain network with test institutions
  • Propose development projects and ideas
  • Communicate relevant information to the relevant parties and stakeholders

What You Bring

  • Technical background, preferably a Bachelor of Science within Engineering
  • Experience in Building industry, preferably Ceilings industry
  • 3+ years in Project Management ideally within building materials industry
  • Additional education in Project Management: able to manage projects beyond Rockfon
  • Actively works with project team to reach development goals
  • Independently makes proposals in respect of the vision and strategy of their part of the organization
  • Independently builds external relationships and networks and uses them to realize goals
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
