Job Overview:

AeroMech accelerates the future of aerospace by providing full-service integration of inflight connectivity, avionics and other aircraft systems and equipment. By utilizing its delegations as an FAA STC ODA, Part 21 PMA and Part 145 repair stations at the Orlando/Sanford Airport (KSFB) and in Smyrna, TN (KMQY), AeroMech can provide a dynamic and efficient approach to integrating the latest and most desirable technology into your aircraft.

Employees who build successful careers at AeroMech are self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to develop diverse skill sets that allow them to contribute across multiple roles and responsibilities. We value individuals who take ownership of their work, proactively identify what needs to be done, and do not require day-to-day direction to remain productive.

We are seeking a Program Manager / Certification Engineer to support aircraft modification and certification programs, primarily involving FAA Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft.

This is a hybrid role combining program management, certification engineering and certification management responsibilities. The successful candidate will help drive assigned programs from kickoff through STC approval and implementation while coordinating the certification activities, technical deliverables, schedules, customers, and internal teams required for successful execution.

This position may be filled at the entry- to mid-level depending on relevant experience. Candidates with stronger program management experience may be mentored in aircraft certification, while candidates with stronger certification or engineering backgrounds may be developed in program management. • Take ownership of overall program execution and proactively drive issues to resolution rather than relying solely on individual technical contributors to manage program progress.

**Certification Engineering / Certification Management

**

  • Develop and maintain Project Specific Certification Plans (PSCPs), certification/compliance checklists, and other certification documents required to support FAA STC projects.

  • Configuration management; coordinate, review, and manage certification data, documents, and deliverables throughout STC development and subsequent revisions.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the applicable FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25 certification requirements and the means of compliance applicable to assigned programs.

  • Support coordination and communication with the FAA, customers, vendors, OEMs, and other organizations involved in certification programs.

  • As experience is gained, assume responsibility for certification planning, coordination, and overall certification management of assigned programs from initial application through STC issuance.

**Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-10 years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering, FAA certification, aviation program management, or a related technical aviation field.

  • Experience with FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25 aircraft modification or certification programs is beneficial.

  • Previous experience working with the FAA, an ODA, DERs, aircraft OEMs, or other aircraft certification organizations is beneficial.
