Job Description

You will be the THAAD Launcher Production Program Manager for the UTIAMD Program Management team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑value defense programs and ensuring timely, compliant production across multiple sites.


What You Will Be Doing




As the Launcher Program Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Launcher Production Integrated Product Team (IPT), driving cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, supporting program reviews on cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Manage adherence to the production integrated master schedule and prioritize work across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

Support program risk and opportunity management boards, identifying and developing mitigation plans.

Coordinate activities between suppliers, manufacturing sites, Lockheed Martin functional groups, and the THAAD Program Office to clear constraints and execute on deliveries to various customers

Lead internal and external program reviews, including various customers and Lockheed Martin production sites

Support affordability initiatives and producibility enhancements to drive down unit cost.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.


Basic Qualifications

• Must hold active secret security clearance
• Strong leadership skills, work ethic, and teamwork
• Demonstrated ability to excel in high tempo, high demand environments
• Possess superior organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to comprehend and summarize complex technical issues associated with major hardware
production and develop recommended solutions
• Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with external customers
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of program management methods including risk and opportunity management

Desired skills

• Missile/Launcher production experience
• IAMD development/post-production exposure
• Working knowledge of THAAD or IAMD product and processes
• Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
• Experience transitioning newly developed products into production
• Experience leading domestic and international production teams in execution of critical defense hardware deliveries
• IPT leadership experience

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $154,100 - $267,145. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
