Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Toyota Financial Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated experience-driven, solution-oriented, self-organizing, and passionate about delivering frictionless software distribution capabilities to end-users. An important aspect of this role is the ability Consultant - Software Packaging Engineer.
This role will be responsible for packaging and deploying applications across Windows and macOS endpoints. The ideal candidate will have expertise in application packaging tools such as InstallShield, Admin Studio, and JAMF Composer, along with proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, and Python. Key responsibilities include creating, testing, and maintaining software packages, ensuring compatibility and security, and automating deployment processes. Strong knowledge of operating system internals, software distribution methods, and endpoint management solutions like Intune, SCCM and JAMF Pro is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are required.
Reporting to the End User Compute Manager - Design & Engineering, the person in this role will support the Toyota Financial Services department's objective to elicit requirements from customers not familiar with the underlying technologies and to manage key Service Level Agreements to ensure the supplier is delivering on the key services being provided. As well as serve as the key software distribution contact with TFS operational support providers. This will include level 3 escalations and initiative planning activities.
