**Welder- Harvey, IL - Pay Range - $21-$23/hr. **
Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday- Friday) 7 am- 3:30 PM
This position is contract to hire and will be part of a union when hired on full time. Our manufacturing customer in Harvey is seeking an welder for their growing automotive operation.
**Job Duties: **
Read and work from customer drawings to produce high-quality welds
Perform welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)
Use hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment
Inspect your own work and ensure welds meet quality standards
Make adjustments as needed to maintain top-quality results
Work closely with production and engineering teams to solve challenges
**Qualifications: **
Experience with welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)
Ability to recognize basic weld defects and maintain quality
Comfortable using grinding tools and air-arc (carbon-arc) equipment
Ability to work independently and stay productive
Willingness to follow instructions, safety rules, and production goals

IL Paid Leave for All Workers
An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act.? The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment.? An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment.? 401(k) with company match for eligible employees.
Eligibility:? Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age.? Entry dates into the 401(k) are:? 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.
The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution.? As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
