Production Technician
Position Summary
As a production technician you will assemble and test various elements of the Transponder Landing System. As a production technician you will complete mechanical assembly which involves both subsystem assembly work, and complete systems integration and will include testing of components, troubleshooting to the component level, component testing on the bench and in environmental chambers, and documenting the performance of the equipment under test. You will also interface with ANPC customers as a company representative during system installations at customer sites. Travel opportunities available and voluntary.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly work using a variety of hand tools (wrenches, drivers, sockets, etc.)
- Test electrical and mechanical assemblies using a variety of test equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair digital and analog circuits, including hand soldering of parts
- Verify accuracy of completed assemblies or test to provide quality output
- Write and edit test and assembly procedures
- Quality control inspections of incoming materials, and assembled parts
- Repairs assembly errors noted by quality control personnel, or on parts returned from customers
- Travel to customer sites for the installation/integration of TLS or TTLS systems
- Perform full range of maintenance on company products, including on-site troubleshooting, installation, removal, retrofit, and/or preventive maintenance.
- Potential travel to client sites to assess, install and maintain products.
- Provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination on your first day of employment and agree to follow CDC, Oregon state and ANPC coronavirus guidelines.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree in electronics, two years college education in an engineering discipline, or equivalent military technical school. Prior job experience may be substituted for education.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of computer-based technologies
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
- Troubleshooting ability to the component level
- PCBA soldering, including SMT
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including use of MS Office products
- Good hands-on assembly skills and attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Able to efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and other basic test equipment
- Experience in reading and interpreting work orders, and assembly drawings and procedures
- Experience in conducting quality inspections of mechanical assemblies
- Background in RF circuitry or fiber optics a plus.
- Ability to read, write and interpret technical documents such as training manuals, corporate documents and contracts.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Skilled in Microsoft software
- Familiarity with Sage MAS 100 business management software is a plus, ERP software familiarity applicable.
