Job Description

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Detector Packaging Manager, this position provides assembly support for Detector Packaging Operations in a cleanroom and laboratory environment. The role requires the progressive development and application of technical skills to support production objectives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform aqueous ultrasonic cleaning operations
• Operate laser marking equipment
• Perform getter welding operations
• Execute adhesive die bonding processes
• Conduct wirebonding and pull testing
• Package products using vacuum sealing processes
• Conduct multipart test and calibration activities
• Use stereo zoom microscopes to inspect and evaluate components
• Perform alignment measurements and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Maintain accurate production documentation, including traveler records and work-in-process (WIP) tracking

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of technical or related industry experience

Job Qualifications:

• High attention to detail
• Knowledge of cleanroom procedures and protcols
• Prior experience using a microscope
• Prior experience handling ESD-sensitive hardware
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for performing detailed assembly and handling tasks
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including coveralls, gloves, masks, hair covers, and shoe covers, for extended periods
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language
• Able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day
• Able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted
• Able to push or pull up to 50 lbs., unassisted
