Our Kimberly-Clark Beech Island, SC Facility is looking for a safety focused, impact driven Production Technician who is eager to join our fast-paced, high performing Operating Team. Kimberly-Clark Beech Island takes pride in being an Industry Leader with highly skilled and engaged team members who are empowered to make high impact Team decisions. Through collaboration and teaming, our Production Technicians regularly apply critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to be industry leaders in Safety, Quality and Production performance targets.

This role supports the Beech Island Baby Child Care (BCC) business.

The role of our Production Technician includes the following:

  • Safety is our first priority. We require all Partners to work in a safe manner to consistently identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions. At times, this will include operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes

  • Utilize problem solving and decision-making skills to establish proficiency in operating and making machine adjustments which are required to achieve and control high quality material standards.

  • Actively participant in a self-directed work team system which includes at times providing meaningful feedback to build participation and engagement with team members

  • The ability to document, account for and complete daily performance metrics in both verbal and written formats.

  • Values and supports a rigorous adherence to standards through daily accountability and continuous improvement

  • Fundamental Mechanical aptitude required to identify machine faults and variations in runtime stability.

  • Ensures that quality tests are done correctly and in a timely manner, and documents are maintained as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.

  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.

  • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

  • Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.

  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

  • Can Use basic hand tools and computers

  • Able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders and ramps, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Safety Mindset: Demonstrated prior experience with a focus on working safely and hazard recognition.

  • Ability to learn and regularly utilize mill computer systems such as: Production MRP System (SAP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, PIMS, etc

  • Beech Island Facility is a High-Performance Work Team Culture. You must have the ability, drive and desire to work in a team environment

The ideal candidate must have one of the following:

  • Minimum of 1 year of sustained work experience; or

  • Minimum of least 2 years of military experience; or

  • Technical degree or certification in Manufacturing Technology or related field; or

  • Experience owning or operating a small business

  • Mechanical aptitude troubleshooting, disassembling equipment, parts replacement, general machine repair. Electrical aptitude is preferred, but not required.

  • Consistent and prolonged work history with demonstrated longevity and ability to succeed in work assignments

Starting Hourly Wage: $28.60 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. This position is eligible for the starting wage listed above, overtime pay and available pay increases within your first year. You’ll also enjoy a full benefits package, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.

This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only. Kimberly-Clark will not provide relocation support for this role.
