About the Role

As a Production Team Member, your daily responsibilities will adapt to your background, goals, and where you excel. We are currently hiring across several specialized departments:

  • Assembly & Precision Welding: Soldering, resistance welding, and torch/induction brazing.

  • Fabrication & Machining: Operating power presses, kick presses, and wire mesh shearing tables.

  • Quality Control: High-precision inspection using microscopes.

  • Facility Support: Wash room operations and tool/die maintenance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate power presses, manual kick presses, and wire mesh shear tables to craft parts.

  • Utilize torch/induction brazing, resistance welders, and soldering tools to assemble components.

  • Inspect finished products under a microscope to guarantee strict quality assurance.

  • Measure components using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, indicators, and go/no-go gages.

  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and standard production documentation.

  • Log digital data, scan jobs in/out, and track daily workflow using a computer.

  • Assist with tool, die, and mold maintenance using grinders, drill presses, lathes, and CNC machinery.

  • Package completed products for delivery and assist with general material handling.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all PPE requirements and machine safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience: 1–2 years in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is a plus (but we are fully willing to train individuals with the right attitude!).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), plus the ability to pass a basic math and tape measure assessment.

  • Skills: High attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a reliable work ethic.

  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand or sit for long periods, and meet close-vision focus requirements (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

  • Logistics: Reliable daily transportation to our facility in Kalkaska, MI.

  • Screening: Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Skills (Not Required, But a Plus!)

  • CNC Tooling, setups, or adjustments

  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  • Tool, die, or mold repair/setup

  • Working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified environments
