Summary

The Production Team Member performs a variety of essential tasks to assist with production in a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include activities such as form cheese, flip cheese, brine cheese, completing quality checks and participating in the sanitation of production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure smooth operation and efficient production.

· Works closely with other production associates and team members to ensure efficient workflow to meet production targets.

· Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment including hoists and or conveyor systems.

· Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, following proper handling procedures. This may involve using electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment to transport goods.

· Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities.

· Observes and monitors production lines to ensure the smooth flow of operations.

· Conducts regular quality checks and completes quality documentation to ensure compliance with specification and standards.

· Ensures accurate labeling and adherences to Affinage guidelines.

· Cleans and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations. (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

· Adheres to safety guidelines and complies with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Attends safety and department meetings and completes all required training in a timely manner.

· Identifies and reports potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

· The ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks.

· Ability to read and interpret work instructions.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

· Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

· Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.

· Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed.

• Work is typically performed in an Production Plant Environment.
• Occasionally exposed to a moderate level of noise that may make it difficult to concentrate
• Occasionally exposed to wet, humid with slippery conditions, hot and cold environment
• Frequently traveling to manufacturing sites (50% travel day travel to sites)
• Occasional travel outside of Wisconsin including international travel (5%)
