Job Overview:

 
 

Summary

 The role of the Production Operator is to produce quality products by using appropriate machinery and equipment. Operators manufacture components and products, ensuring that they meet customer specifications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 •   Operate machinery and processes to produce products of the required quality, while following all safety protocols.

 •   Assemble components and products to established specifications.

 •   Test components and products to ensure that they meet all requirements.

 •   Constantly monitor output to ensure that it is of the standard required, rejecting any that does not meet the standard.

 •   Receive and store raw materials required for the production process.

 •   Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure that all environmental and health and safety regulations are complied with.

 •   Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is used in accordance with safety regulations and company rules.

 •   Communicate any technical problems arising in the assembly of components and products.

 •   Maintain all required records of components and products assembled and any problems encountered.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

 Excellent oral and written communication. Dependable. Punctual. Good mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently or with a team. Basic computer skills.

 

Education and Experience:

 Manufacturing or production experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

 

Physical Demands:

 Essential duties of this job include standing up to 10 hours per day. Frequent use hands and fingers to handle, or feel and reach with arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Genesis Plastics Welding utilizes Radio Frequency Welding heavily on the production floor. RF welding may have an adverse effect on some medical implanted devices, including, but not limited to, pacemakers.

We are offering three shifts:
4 AM to 2 PM (Monday - Thursday)
6 AM to 4 PM (Monday - Thursday)
6 AM to 2 PM (Monday - Friday)
40 Hour Work Week, including:
- 2x 10 minute paid breaks, daily
- 30 minute paid lunch, daily
