Production Team Lead – 2nd Shift

Location: West Point, GA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 PM–6:00 AM

Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to support assembly and manufacturing operations in West Point, GA.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for providing daily direction to production employees, coordinating workflow, training team members, addressing production issues, and helping the team achieve established safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

The Production Team Lead reports to the IWS Operations Manager and plays an important role in maintaining a safe, productive, quality-focused, and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to production team members.
• Monitor production activities and help maintain efficient workflow.
• Train new and existing employees and maintain required training documentation.
• Verify employees are properly trained to perform assigned work.
• Help the team achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Identify production obstacles and partner with leadership to resolve issues.
• Recommend improvements to production processes, workflow, and team performance.
• Ensure employees follow established policies, procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Partner with the IWS Operations Manager on employee concerns, conflicts, performance issues, and disciplinary matters.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support applicable quality, environmental, and safety-management requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
• Previous assembly experience required.
• Previous experience leading, training, or directing production employees.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work required overtime based on production needs.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

• Previous Production Team Lead, Manufacturing Team Lead, Assembly Team Lead, Line Lead, Production Lead, or similar experience.
• Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Experience working under IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 standards.
• Associate degree or additional technical education.

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position. Team members must be able to frequently stand and/or walk throughout the shift; occasionally bend, stoop, and squat; occasionally lift and carry up to 30 lbs.; occasionally push or pull up to 50 lbs.; and assist with movement of carts and production materials as required.

Most work areas are climate-controlled.
