As a Production Support Technician on 3rd shift, you'll gain experience in multiple areas of our manufacturing operation while supporting the team with material handling, basic quality inspections, housekeeping, and other operational tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with moving materials, parts, and products throughout the facility using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Perform basic quality checks, including operating simple inspection equipment after training.
- Conduct routine product testing following established procedures.
- Respond to general facility needs such as cleaning spills, operating floor cleaning equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist with preparing the facility for customer visits, audits, and tours.
- Help complete general housekeeping and miscellaneous tasks to support daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and facility operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and work in different areas of the facility.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Comfortable learning basic quality inspection processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize changing tasks throughout the day.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Physical Requirements:
- Machine shop working environment; dust, grease, and metal shavings common.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear, and to use hands to handle or touch controls and objects continuously.
- Frequent bending and stooping; on occasion, may be required to reach above the shoulders.
- Ability to lift up to ten (10) pounds continuously and up to thirty (30) pounds frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Overtime will be required during peak business periods and to meet business needs.
