Job Summary:
Supervisor Plans, organizes and supervises day-to-day operations, ensuring that daily production schedule is followed and met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that operators are running to the dispatch list (work with scheduling to minimize set-ups)
- Check and account for every part produced and materials consumed to make those parts are accountable to every operation on every work order
- Ensure that all documentation (QAR’s, job travelers, MRB tags, etc) are filled out properly and completely at end of shift
- Provide interpretation and direction for department standards, customer standards and specifications, and internal standards and procedures
- Notify scheduling and maintenance when a machine goes down
- Process inspection, certification and documentation
- Hold employees accountable for safety, quality and production quotas
- Ensure employee time and attendance are recorded properly to ensure compliance with company policy
- Make conscience efforts to prevent injuries and dangerous situations; report and document any accidents or near misses to the safety officer
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Required)
- At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
- High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
- 2+ years Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge in welding field and holding welding certifications in the past. (MIG or TIG)
- Ability to read welding symbols and prints
- Working knowledge of US standard units of measurement, as well as metric.
- Computer proficiency
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred (all locations)
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
- Able to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per day
- Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
- Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
- Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
- Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
- Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
- Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
