The Opportunity:

 

The Production Supervisor oversees all activities on the production floor to ensure schedules are met and customer commitments are fulfilled. This role works closely with and supports departments such as Warehouse, Maintenance, quality and Customer Service to maintain efficient and effective production processes. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safety, training, motivating, assigning tasks, and ensuring compliance with MeriCal’s policies.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure finished products meet MeriCal and customer quality standards.
  • Verify each job aligns with production paperwork, report discrepancies to QA, the General Manager, or Customer Service.
  • Maintain availability and support for production staff throughout shifts.
  • Prepare and stage upcoming jobs, ensuring previous job materials are fully cleared.
  • Ensure proper completion of cleaning logs and production paperwork before starting new jobs.
  • Perform and document quality checks during production runs.
  • Provide training to ensure staff perform efficiently and effectively.
  • Assign daily duties to all personnel on the production line.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment changes or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Lead by example through consistent attendance and professional conduct.
  • Accurately read and interpret production documents, safety regulations, and FDA-compliant GMPs.
  • Write routine reports and maintain detailed production records.
  • Perform basic math calculations for tracking production metrics.
  • Physically capable of standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Resolve personnel or production issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Willingness to follow reasonable directives from management and adapt to shifting priorities as needed.

                                                                                                                                              

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years working as a production supervisor, preferably in FDA packaging environment.
  • High School Diploma or A.A or higher.
  • Good communication skills with a solid understanding of production processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting production documents, safety rules, and GMP standards.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic and using calculators or measurement tools for tracking production data.
  • Capable of handling daily personnel and production challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours) and lift over 35 lbs.

 A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
