We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team. This role for overseeing fabrication and assembly operations and working closely with other functional areas with MPE such as operations, engineering, quality, procurement, and human resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily second shift production activities in metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with FDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant medical device industry regulations.
- Monitor workflow, production schedules, and resource allocation to meet customer and business demands.
- Lead, train, and mentor production staff to improve performance and efficiency.
- Enforce strict quality control procedures to ensure product conformance and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, implementing and enforcing OSHA and company safety policies.
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to optimize output and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop action plans for team members.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineer or related field preferred
Experience and Training:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in metal fabrication, powder coating, or assembly, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, powder coating applications, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high attention to detail.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
