Principal Purpose of the Position:
- Provide production (May also include Maintenance) employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of departmental operations, including but limited to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Removes barriers for employees.
- Safety – Support & Influence culture to zero possible incidents & accidents. Understand leading indicators such as safety behaviors and identifying high risk locations and operations.
- Quality – Act as an ambassador of quality with customer focus. Support and influence quality plan. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Delivery - ensure quality products are shipped on time to the customer. Support and influence manufacturing plan.
- People - Drive positive culture and engagement in the workforce with the "Results first, Respect always" theme.
- Cost – Understand basic cost components and levers to deliver cost plan.
- Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results. Promptly address performance issues.
- Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and respond to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain well-organized and productive work areas.
- Participates and supports staffing by orienting, training, and evaluating employees; actively supports development of employees.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process and assists employees with meeting production standards
- Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between shifts.
- Addresses and Resolves employee concerns, issues or problems by working with employees and or Human Resources; investigates issues; identifies solutions; recommends action.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor's preferred.
Experience:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years manufacturing, preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of existing manufacturing systems including computer systems, manufacturing making processes, material flow and handling schemes, quality systems and process control techniques
- Decisions are guided by resource availability and department/function objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback and provides development opportunities within or across areas or departments; ability to influence behaviors and drive results
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, influence others, Approachable Demeanor
- Hands on SAP experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
Supervisory responsibilities: Production, shipping and receiving, as well as maintenance employees.
Work environment:
- Warehouse as well as office environment.
- Manufacturing facility containing line set and mini split areas manufacturing lines, cranes, & forklifts.
- You must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
- A fast-paced working environment, extremely hot at times.
- Computer work.
