The Opportunity:

 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of production activities within the Gummy department on a shift basis. The Production Supervisor schedules and executes the production of gummies while ensuring staff is compliant following safety and quality policies. The supervisor will ensure good quality product is made following cGMPs and customer shipment dates are met.


 

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure finished products meet MeriCal and customer quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with company policies, OSHA, federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure Gummy areas are kept clean, organized and housekeeping is always being addressed.
  • Assign job responsibilities to gummy operators and be available to support or assist.
  • Ensure team follows general cGMP's, follows SOPs and Master Batch Record Manufacturing directions.
  • Review all process controls, parameters, and batch records to ensure data is logged accurately and timely.
  • Conducts SOP and quality training as well as ensuring training  records are maintained properly.
  • Verify equipment is functioning properly and safeguards are in place.
  • Daily communication of challenges and opportunities with adjoining shift leadership.
  • Review ADP to ensure compliance and timely punches.
  • Continual communication with gummy operators providing leadership, training, coaching, and motivation.
  • Works closely with support teams (Planning/QA/Warehouse) to ensure schedule and shipment dates are met.
  • Helps conduct root cause analysis for non-conformance process/materials.
  • Assist Manufacturing Manager in documenting employee performance, managing personnel issues, and recommendations.
  • As a Production Supervisor it is important to lead by example: maintain solid attendance, wear PPE, take ownership in tasks/assignment, build strong working relationships, develop a strong understanding of the gummy process, drive performance to improve quality and increase yields.

                                                                                                                                              

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of production leadership within a GMP compliant facility.
  • Highly proficient in writing and speaking English.
  • Possess good communication skills and be able to multi-task in a fast paced production environment.
  • Ability to follow written instruction Manufacturing batch records, safety policies, and quality requirements.
  • Quality conscious with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience making decisions around resource management and prioritization.
  • Possess problem solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Experience in identifying problems within the team and applying conflict resolution skills.

 A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
