Job Overview:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced food production environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring production goals, product quality, food safety, and employee performance are consistently achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate has previous food manufacturing experience, enjoys working on the production floor, and has experience leading hourly production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met
  • Coordinate production schedules and assign employees to production lines
  • Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and company policies
  • Spend the majority of the workday on the production floor supporting operations and resolving issues
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees while promoting a positive team environment
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production updates between shifts
  • Monitor attendance, approve overtime, and assist with scheduling
  • Support equipment troubleshooting and coordinate with Maintenance when necessary
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee performance evaluations
  • Complete production documentation and communicate operational metrics to management

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment
  • Experience leading hourly production employees in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
  • Familiarity with MRP or ERP systems is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
