Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and organizing all production functions to include the supervising of the Quality Department and Production Warehouse. This position is a high responsibility position due to the nature of our product and customer safety. This position’s primary function is Administrative. You will create, maintain, organize, and monitor all processes /systems to ensure compliance for the Production areas as well as a safe work environment. Serve as an advocate for the company, mentor, and coach to the employees.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop shift schedules to include workstation assignments, rotations, and training. Manage employee vacation time, break/lunch schedules, and overtime. (Paylocity)
  • Complete written documentation and maintain the required records to satisfy Coca Cola and other internal/external requirements. (Corrective actions / Update Procedures / Work Instructions, IRB Investigations, Perform safety analysis / Purchase Requisitions)
  • Use data collection and analysis tools available to improve and predict Quality and Yield performance, Identify gaps in date and/or tools and drive solutions. (CPC Data) 
  • Use ERP System to input, Review, close Production runs. (D365)
  • Drive development, training and auditing of SOPs across the Production department as needed.
  • Input Sanitation Records to ensure all documents are in Compliance. (Document Review) 
  • Complete Paperwork for loads of finished Product. (Building B) 
  • Provide Oversight / Supervise Hourly. (Building B)
  • Reconcile WH#51 Inventory.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process to include making recommendations for equipment changes, rebuilds, and new technology to enhance work performance.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of work group. Provide cross shift/department communications.
  • Covers the Floor Supervisor in his / her absence.
  • Other tasks as requested or assigned by Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead, manage, and supervise the production work group in operating procedures and scheduling. Maintain direction and compliance with Company policies and applicable regulations/laws. Communicate work changes; complete annual performance evaluations that are objective, providing consistent feedback on performance goals/objectives. 

COMPETENCIES: Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required. This position will act as an advocate for the Company, be a mentor and leader of the work group, and coach the employees for ongoing attainment of stretch performance and a sense of work accomplishment.   


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Education and/or Experience: BA in Business or related field of study, or three (3) years general work experience in a production environment with four (4) years supervisory experience.  


  • Language Skills: Ability to read. Ability to respond to common inquiries. Must be able to write clearly and record very precise data.


  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Use of calculator in determining percentages, and a good understanding of basic algebraic calculations necessary in calculating acidity of citrus based products.   


  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format. Due to fast paced environment and the critical measurements being monitored, the employee must be very alert.   


  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook). Good skills required for recording and tracking inventory, results of testing, reporting, and calculating of batches. 


  • Other Skills and Abilities: Follow-up and attention to detail. Ability to train and coach employees.


  • Other Qualifications: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/kneel bend and reach.  

The employee will be on feet for multiple hours, moving, bending, lifting, stacking, un-stacking, squatting, and stretching in performing the essential functions of position.

The employee is required to lift and/or move, bend and rotate at the waist a minimum of 90 degrees while handling weights from 10 to 50 pounds from floor level to a height of 60 inches.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to inside and outside work conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Floors may be wet/damp and slippery. There will be exposure to temperature extremes while assisting with the unloading of sweetener in winter months. 

Employee will be required to wear safety shoes/boots while on duty.
