Description
As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the shift. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting. The Production Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations.
Summary of Job duties:
- Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Enforces company policies and guidelines
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
- Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
- Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues
- Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
- Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
- Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
- Evaluates the condition of production equipment
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
- Compiles and analyzes production records.
- Minimize downtime of assembly line by insuring proper set ups.
- Perform Quality audits and complete necessary paperwork on specific units.
- Informing engineering or Quality control of manufacturing problems.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- High school Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Previous supervisory experience
- Excellent coaching and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of production planning processes
- Strategic planning skills
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
- Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to utilize computers/bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, employee labor, and attendance etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
- Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests.
- Must be able to lift 10-25 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.
